The Forest Flows (Flow Lab) programme is developing methods to predict and optimise water use in pine forest plantations to answer the questions: Where is the water? Where is it going? Who gets to use it? Scion (@scion_research) chose inFact to develop a customised wireless mesh network of base stations, dataloggers and tree-mounted dendrometers to capture real-time data on-site and relay this via cellular to a cloud backend.
